CONCORD, N.H. — New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Scott Maltzie released the following statement after last night’s NH-02 Democrat Debate:
“Maggie Goodlander’s performance in last night’s debate was unacceptable for an incumbent,” said NHGOP Chairman Scott Maltzie. “She stood by her decision to urge the military to disobey ‘illegal orders,’ yet couldn’t name a single example. That answer alone should sound a warning bell in the minds of Granite Staters and make clear that she should not be sent back to Congress.”
“As if things couldn’t have been worse, she couldn’t explain why she voted present on a resolution to condemn socialism. She has been a follower in Congress, not a leader. She doesn’t have an answer because she doesn’t want to lose her base. This unaccomplished Congresswoman has not earned another two years in office, and New Hampshire will send that message in November.”
In case you missed it, here are the highlights:
Maggie Goodlander:
- She “absolutely” stands by urging the military to disobey “illegal orders”, despite not being able to name a single one
- Cannot give an answer to why she voted present on condemning socialism
- Bragged about impeaching President Trump
- Called law enforcement a “gestapo-like force”
Paige Beauchemin:
- Refuses to condemn antisemitism say, “it’s a lazy concept”
- Cannot name a single charge she would use to impeach President Trump
- Called the Laken Riley Act one of the “worst pieces of legislation”
