Concord, NH — Today, the New Hampshire Republican Party called out Democrats Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan for putting partisan politics ahead of New Hampshire families as Washington Democrats extend Chuck Schumer’s shutdown of the federal government, delaying SNAP benefits for vulnerable families.
“As Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan enable the Schumer Shutdown, it’s New Hampshire families who will pay the price,” said Chairman Jim MacEachern. “Shaheen and Hassan should stop putting partisan politics over people and reopen our federal government now.”
The repercussions of Shaheen and Hassan’s dangerous political games can be seen across the country, including in New Hampshire where officials have announced that SNAP benefits for more than 75,000 Granite Staters will be delayed if the shutdown continues.
