Adopted by the Executive Committee of the New Hampshire Republican State Committee
Date: September 15, 2025
WHEREAS, Charlie Kirk—husband, father, and co-founder of Turning Point USA—was
assassinated on September 10, 2025, while speaking at Utah Valley University, an act that has
shocked the nation and grieved millions; and
WHEREAS, we extend our deepest sorrow to his wife, Erika, and their young children, and
affirm our faith that Charlie and his family are held in the hands of the Lord, who is near to the
brokenhearted; and
WHEREAS, political violence is a direct assault on ordered liberty and the First Amendment,
and it must be condemned unequivocally, regardless of the target or the perpetrator; and
WHEREAS, eliminationist rhetoric that dehumanizes political opponents as Nazis and fascists
and people of faith as ignorant and superstitious poisons civic life, corrodes public trust, and can
incite acts of hatred; and
WHEREAS, public officials, parties, nonprofit organizations, and advocacy networks share a
civic duty to reject language and conduct that normalize intimidation or violence;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Executive Committee of the New
Hampshire Republican State Committee expresses its profound sorrow and moral outrage over
the assassination of Charlie Kirk; offers prayerful condolences to his family; and calls upon all
Granite Staters to recommit themselves to peaceful civic engagement and the protection of free
speech;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we call upon leaders of both parties—especially
Democratic Party leaders nationally and in New Hampshire—to publicly denounce and
apologize for eliminationist and dehumanizing rhetoric directed at Republicans, conservatives,
and religious Americans, and to join with us in a bipartisan pledge to cool the temperature of our
public discourse;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we urge the U.S. Department of Justice, the Department
of Homeland Security, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to investigate, disrupt, and
prosecute to the fullest extent of the law any individuals or networks that plan, incite, fund, or commit political violence, including the use of RICO (18 U.S.C. §§ 1961–1968), conspiracy,
solicitation, and all applicable federal and state statutes;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we request federal authorities to review the activities of
any organizations, donor networks, or cells to determine whether any person or entity has
provided material support to violence or otherwise violated federal or state law; and, where the
evidence meets statutory thresholds, to bring appropriate charges and civil enforcement actions;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we urge the U.S. Department of State to apply existing
authorities against foreign terrorist organizations and persons under Executive Order 13224 and
related statutes, and we call upon Congress to consider legislation establishing a constitutional,
transparent framework to address domestic terrorist organization designations or analogous
measures, so that law enforcement has clear tools to deter and punish politically motivated
violence inside the United States;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chair is directed to transmit this resolution to the
President of the United States, the U.S. Attorney General, the U.S. Secretary of State, New
Hampshire’s Governor and Congressional Delegation, and the leadership of the New Hampshire
Democratic Party.
