Concord, NH — The New Hampshire Republican Party today praised Governor Kelly Ayotte and Republican majorities in the legislature for their leadership as the state’s new bail reform law officially goes into effect.

“Thanks to Governor Ayotte’s leadership and the tireless work of Republicans in the legislature, dangerous criminals are being kept off our streets,” said NHGOP Chairman Jim McEachern. “Governor Ayotte promised she would fix our broken bail system, and with the support of Republican majorities in the legislature, she got it done.”

Signed into law six months ago, the measure restores common sense to New Hampshire’s bail system by closing the revolving door that let violent criminals walk free.
