CONCORD, N.H. — The New Hampshire Republican State Committee today praised Karoline Leavitt for her outstanding service as White House Press Secretary following the announcement that she will step down from the position at the end of August to spend more time with her family.

A proud Granite Stater, Leavitt has made history as the youngest person ever to serve as White House Press Secretary. Since taking the podium in January 2025, she has represented the Trump Administration with confidence, clarity, and conviction while taking on one of the most demanding and high-profile communications roles in American government.

“Karoline Leavitt has made New Hampshire proud,” said NHRSC Chairman Scott Maltzie. “From the Granite State to the White House podium, Karoline has shown what can happen when talented, hardworking young Granite Staters step up to serve. She has represented President Trump and his agenda with strength, intelligence, and determination, and she has never backed down from tough questions.”

“Karoline has been an exceptional press secretary and a tremendous ambassador for New Hampshire,” Maltzie continued. “We are grateful for her service and for the way she has carried the Granite State with her every step of the way. We wish her nothing but the very best in this next chapter.”

Leavitt’s departure marks the conclusion of a historic tenure at the White House, where she served as the sole press secretary of President Donald Trump’s second administration.
