Concord, NH — The New Hampshire Republican Party today highlighted Democratic Senator John Fetterman’s public criticism of Senator Jeanne Shaheen and Senator Maggie Hassan for prolonging the government shutdown and putting 75,000 Granite Staters at risk.

Fetterman said: “As a committed Democrat, I’m dismayed my party is playing chicken with the food security of 42 million Americans. I reject a political gamble that exposes a vulnerable constituency to widespread deprivation and chaos.”

Despite that warning, Senators Shaheen and Hassan have voted more than a dozen times to keep the government closed, choosing partisan politics over struggling families. While Granite Staters face uncertainty and hunger, Shaheen and Hassan continue to stand with Chuck Schumer to score political points instead of doing their jobs.
