CONCORD, N.H. — Today, the New Hampshire Republican State Committee responds to the FEC complaint filed against Stefany Shaheen.
“Stefany Shaheen’s lack of transparency is unacceptable,” said NHGOP Chairman Scott Maltzie. “She knowingly hid corporate contributions on her report. She is hoping you don’t notice, bringing to light how she will be another corrupt politician if she is elected to Congress.”
“The Shaheen campaign reported a donor’s named employer and CEO title, then amended the filing to replace both with ‘self-employed.’ It already had the information. Why was it removed?” said National Committeeman William O’Brien.
“We filed this complaint because the records show serious disclosure failures. Voters deserve to know which professional and business interests are financing the Shaheen campaign and its attack ads. The apparent concealment of those affiliations is outrageous. The FEC should determine who authorized that amendment and why. Voters deserve those answers promptly.”
According to the complaint:
“The Committee’s reported donor information presents occupation entries that disclose no
principal occupation, inconsistent employment information for matching donors, and employer
descriptions contradicted by primary professional records. The Committee’s own filings contain
more complete information missing from other entries.”
