New Hampshire Republicans Thank Governor Ayotte for Delivering Results

Concord, NH — The New Hampshire Republican Party today thanked Governor Kelly Ayotte for her leadership after it was announced that the Department of Homeland Security will not move forward with a proposed ICE facility in Merrimack.

“We thank Governor Ayotte for stepping up and delivering for the people of Merrimack,” said NHGOP Chairman Scott Maltzie. “While Democrats chased political theatrics, Governor Ayotte went to work for Granite Staters. Democrats should take notes. That’s what leadership looks like.”

Chairman Maltzie contrasted Ayotte’s ability to be an independent voice to New Hampshire Democrats who obediently fall in line for Washington insiders.

“Democrats abandoned New Hampshire’s First-in-the-Nation to clear the way for Joe Biden,” Maltzie added. “Governor Ayotte works with everyone, delivers for our communities, and puts New Hampshire first. New Hampshire is safer and stronger with Kelly Ayotte in the corner office.”

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem praised New Hampshire’s partnership, saying: “I appreciated my discussions with Governor Ayotte last week. From banning sanctuary cities to strengthening law enforcement cooperation, New Hampshire has been a strong partner in securing our country, and we look forward to continuing our work together.”
