NHGOP Response to Income Tax Sponsor, Senator Tom Sherman Entering the Governors Race
Concord, New Hampshire – The last thing New Hampshire needs right now is Tom Sherman in the Governor’s Office.
Over the last two years, Governor Sununu working alongside Republicans in Concord jump-started our state’s post-pandemic recovery through essential tax cuts. This economic relief inspired small business growth and established record-breaking state revenues. When Republicans cut taxes, revenues in the state boomed and Granite Staters thrive!
Senator Sherman’s response to inflation and rising prices at the pump is to tack on more taxes to hard-working Granite State Families. As a State Senator, Tom Sherman sponsored SB 1 – a state income tax – and since then has repeatedly advocated for even more tax increases. With Sherman topping the ticket NH Democrats are just further embracing higher taxes that will drag down the Granite State and destroy our prosperous economy.
Governor Sununu’s common-sense fiscal approach remains the only safeguard between Granite Staters and NH Democrats’ tax hike objectives, a fact voters aren’t likely to forget.
