Concord, NH – NHGOP Chairman Stephen Stepanek released the following statement following the announcement of three NH Democrat Representatives abandoning the caucus to become independents over the last month:
“The Democrat party has gone so far left, they’ve not only alienated Granite Staters but moderate Democrats too. So much so that over the last month alone, three NH Democrat Party members are leaving their caucus to become independents,” Said NHGOP Chairman Stephen Stepanek.
“This is no accident. Across America, Democrat Representatives are retiring, or simply declining to run for re-election altogether. These individuals recognize the Democrat party is losing traction, and has strayed far from their traditional platform.
“Even Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont recently spoke up in saying a “major course correction” is needed because the Democrat party has turned its back on the working class.
“Democrats are clearly in disarray and aren’t looking to make positive grounds anytime soon.
