Statement from GOP Chair Forrester on Shea-Porter’s Childish,
Partisan Behavior on House Floor
CONCORD – New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chair Jeanie Forrester issued the following statement on Rep. Carol Shea-Porter’s behavior on the House floor on Thursday, which one national analyst said is the reason “why people hate politics.”
“Republicans are working on positive solutions to the challenges facing regular working Americans. But Carol Shea-Porter? She’s only interested in playing partisan games and lobbing childish taunts. Honestly, she looked like a child on a playground rather than someone who was sent to Washington to work for the people of New Hampshire’s First Congressional District. ObamaCare has been a disaster for the American people and Carol Shea-Porter is out of touch and out of line.”
In case you missed it, national analyst Chris Cillizza writing for CNN.com called Rep. Carol Shea-Porter’s behavior on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday the reason “why people hate politics.”
“It also convinces people not in Washington or not involved in politics that the people who are representing them in DC have no real idea what they care about or value,” continued Cillizza.
“That’s a very bad thing for the long-term health of our democracy,” he concluded.
