NHGOP Statement on Democrat State Representative Katsiantonis’ Refusal to Resign
CONCORD – New Hampshire Republican State Committee (NHGOP) Chair Jeanie Forrester released the following statement in response to the resignation refusal of Manchester City Aldermen, and State Representative, Thomas Katsiantonis despite owing back property taxes on his Tommy K’s restaurant, and paying a portion of his personal property taxes in cash as reported today in the New Hampshire Union Leader:
“Manchester Democrats are imploding. Despite a recent indictment on tax evasioncharges totaling $423,000 and owing thousands in unpaid property taxes to the city of Manchester they are silent in exchange for his vote to override the city tax cap in the upcoming budget meeting on Tuesday evening at City Hall. In light of this new revelation about his unpaid taxes to the city state senate hopeful and city Alderman Kevin Cavanuagh and Mayoral candidate Joyce Craig should immediately call for his resignation, or, at the very least, call on Katsiantonis to cease all participation in matters that pertain to the finances of the city affecting the taxpayers.”
