CONCORD – NH GOP Chair Jeanie Forrester released the following statement calling on Senator Shaheen to recuse herself from the Senator Franken investigation:

“The accusations against Democrat Senator Al Franken, which include photographic evidence, are grounds for his resignation. In 2014, fellow Democrat Senator Jeanne Shaheen received $10,000 from Sen. Franken during her re-election bid. Sen. Shaheen sits on the Ethics Committee that will review and investigate Sen. Franken’s lewd behavior, and is using her position on the Ethics Committee to duck questions about Sen. Franken’s unacceptable behavior. In light of the 2014 political contribution and Sen. Shaheen’s close political and personal friendship with Sen. Franken, she must recuse herself from the ethics investigation into Sen. Al Franken sexual abuse scandal.”
