What an exciting week it’s been! From the White House to the State House, Republicans have much to celebrate! Here in New Hampshire, for the first time in 14 years, we have won back the corner office! By also voting for Republican majorities in the House, Senate, and Executive Council, the people of our great state have entrusted us with the extraordinary privilege of leading our state forward.
With that privilege comes a profound responsibility to lead with integrity and purpose. Ours is a party built on the principles of equality, opportunity, and inclusion – we know that when we translate these principles into policy, our entire community is lifted up.
In every election, it is incumbent upon the winners to lead the process of healing and bridge building that follows. This responsibility belongs to every one of us, not just those elected to office. After a particularly volatile cycle, let us be the ones to set an example of moving forward toward a more unified nation. Each one of us can take a step toward repairing the rifts that have grown over the past months, whether on social media, among friends or at home around your own table.
Let us be humble in victory, focused on the good we know we can do together, committed to working with everyone willing to join us at the table to make New Hampshire and America better, stronger, more prosperous, and more secure.
In America, it is our people, not our politicians, that make us strong. Our constitutional democracy is bigger than any one man or woman, more powerful than any one elected office. We have elected a new President and a new Governor. The people have spoken and now the hard work begins. It is time for us to lead.
Thank you for all you have done to help get Republicans elected in New Hampshire. Your hard work has paid off. I am incredibly proud of what you have done and grateful to have been a part of it.
